What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is FDA approved non-surgical slimming technology developed by Harvard Medical School. It is a cold lipolysis method, and a safe treatment method that reduces the temperature of fat cells without damaging the tissues and allows them to be removed from the body via metabolism.

Who can benefit from CoolSculpting?

Coolsculpting is not a weight loss method. It is a technology that targets localized fats resistant to diet and exercise, and sculpts the body with its fat-breaking effect.

Which areas can CoolSculpting be applied to?

It can be successfully applied to all areas where there is local fat deposition. It is applied on abdomen, waist, hips, legs, knees, jowl, back and arms. By means of its different heads that are compatible with different width areas, it is effective on a large abdomen and also in small areas such as knees.

Is CoolSculpting treatment painful?

It is a painless process. When the applicator is placed in the application area, the person feels vacuuming and cooling. Even though there is a mild sensitivity initially, it disappears as the patients get used to this feeling within a few minutes.

How long does the CoolSculpting application take? How does the system work?

The duration of CoolSculpting treatment varies according to the number of areas to be applied. For instance, abdominal area is treated as at least 2 areas and the hips, as right and left sides. Depending on the number of areas to be treated, the application can be extended over 2-3 days. Treatment takes 30-60 minutes and generally one session is sufficient. After the area or areas, where the fat cells will be broken down by cold lipolysis technology is determined by the physician, these areas are covered with a special protective material like wet wipes to protect the skin. The applicator is placed in the designated area. With a light vacuum, the device automatically draws the relevant area into the chamber of the application head, thereby starting a controlled cooling process that will last for half an hour. Structural changes occur within a few weeks in fat cells cooled by cryolipolysis technology.

How many sessions are required for CoolSculpting application?

CoolSculpting treatment is generally applied as a single session. In some special cases, another session may be required after 2-3 months to achieve more effective results.

How is the healing process?

There is no healing process since no surgical procesesses are performed during the application. Following the application, patients can return to their daily lives immediately. Fat cells, which are changed with coolsculpting application, start to be removed from the body through the lymphatic system two weeks after the process. The final result of the treatment occurs after 6-7 weeks.
