What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a medical process for aesthetic purposes developed in France for the first time in 1952 by Dr. Michel Pistor.
Mesotherapy is used in many areas for aesthetic and medical treatment purposes. It was first brought up with local slimming and cellulite problems.
How does Mesotherapy work?
Mesotherapy is the application of homeopathic and pharmaceutical agents, vitamins and some plant extracts under the skin with microinjection technique. The substances to be injected are selected according to the person and purpose. It is applied in small dosages. The substances are injected into the skin in a depth of 1-6 millimeters, leaving an average of 1-2 centimeters of distance from each other. Thus, they reach the ends of the capillaries located in the middle layer of the skin (mesoderm) and act quickly.
In which situations is Mesotherapy used?
- Cellulite treatment
- Local (regional) fat deposition
- Treatment of scars
- Hair loss
- Skin rejuvenation
Cellulite treatment with Mesotherapy
Fat cells that cause cellulite are not actually the normal fat cells. These are tissues that have lost their properties, and that store water and become rough. Losing weight does not eliminate cellulites. With the mesotherapy method, fat-melting and circulation-regulating substances, and anti-cellulite mixtures are injected under the skin. Thus, the disrupted fat cells break down, are released from where they are trapped and become reusable fat again. As the sessions progress, the areas with cellulite improve and the rough appearance on the skin disappears.
Local fat deposition treatment with Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is an effective treatment in which very successful results are obtained in the removal of local fat deposition in the abdomen, waist, arms and legs. It ensures that the fat tissue in the injection area is destroyed.
Scar treatment with Mesotherapy
It is recommended to apply 5-6 sessions of mesotherapy to the areas where scars are, using appropriate medications with 3 weeks intervals. Serums, developed for this problem in recent years, are delivered subcutaneously through mesotherapy, and extremely good results are obtained in scars.
Hair loss treatment with Mesotherapy
In some types of hair loss, quite good results are obtained. Depending on the patient’s problem, 4-10 sessions are applied as weekly or bi-weekly sessions.
Skin rejuvenation treatment with Mesotherapy (Mezolift)
In general, it is aimed to increase the skin youth with the vitamins, amino acids and nutrients delivered through mesotherapy. At the same time, tightening and brightness is provided to the skin. Considering that our elastic fibers float in a pool of sugar and protein in the skin, enrichment of this liquid is important to prolong the life of the fibers. These treatments are effective in every area from the face, neck, hand back, cleavage, under-arm, to the abdomen and legs, and are organized as 4 to 6 sessions, once or twice a week, depending on the condition of the skin. It is possible to use a local anesthetic cream to avoid any pain during the application. However, it usually does not require any anesthesia. In case of starting treatment without waiting for aging and the appearance of the first wrinkles, it is possible to keep the skin young for a long time and ensure the delay of aging.
How many sessions are required?
The physician can decide on the number of sessions to suit your lifestyle and your skin condition. The effects of treatment may vary from person to person, and that affects the number of sessions.
Who cannot have Mesotherapy?
- Pregnant women
- People who had a stroke
- Insulin users
- Cancer patients
- People with blood clotting disorders
- People with heart disease requiring multiple drug treatment
What are the side effects of Mesotherapy?
There may be temporary bruises at the injection site. The substances used do not interfere with the systemic circulation. For this reason, all side effects and problems are temporary.
When do the initial results appear after Mesotherapy?
It depends on the severity of the problem and the person’s body structure. If the patient rearranges his/her life to support the treatment (nutrition, workout, etc.), the initial results appear in 2-3 sessions.
